More fun with the girls

We had a wonderful day on Friday.  I got up with Adele and we ate and watched a children's movie about a cat, Periwinkle, who goes to school for the first time and learns the ropes.  Adele is rapt in the show, because she's just recently had her first day of school.

Adele excitedly looked over some clothes Memaw sent along for her.

Jenny and I babysat while Karen took Adele to "pre-school".  Anna was full of smiles and Jenny enjoyed holding her.

We lounged around until Jenny had to leave for Jonelle's wedding in Ohio.

Anna waits while we pick up Adele at school.

Adele had a good day at school and tells mommy all about it.

After school and lunch, Anna napped and Bapa and Mommy and Adele played in the backyard.  Adele loved swinging, and Bapa pushed her really high!
Soon Daddy comes home and swings with Anna.
Daddy and Anna watch Adele play in the sand box.
For dinner we went to Red Robin, but no pics, because Bapa forgot the camera.

Indy visit 9-9-10

Finally, I get back to see the little girls.

Adele is sweet to her Baba, and plays Play-doh with him.

Adele wanted to eat dinner at a restaurant...  Which one? O'Charley's!

Back at home, Anna and daddy try out the swings:

Main Retirement Diversion

One of the compelling reasons to retire was the arrival of our granddaughter, Adele. Retirement freed up a lot of time to travel to Indianapolis to visit and play with our little girl.

Here are some pictures from 2009:
